It was composed of five members each from the House and Senate. Its authority included making a full investigation of the expenditures of the Illinois Emergency Relief Commission and the methods employed by that commission in distributing relief to the distressed and needy. Findings were reported in 1934 at which time it expired (L. 1933, p. 7).
